SCOTUS Amici Defends Citizens’ Rights

America’s Future filed an Amicus brief with the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) yesterday (May 24) in National Rifle Association of America (NRA) v Maria T. Vullo, SCOTUS Dkt. 22-842. The brief was filed in defense of the First Amendment rights of speech and association and to defend the rights of all citizens and organizations to be treated fairly and even-handedly by government officials no matter the political preference.

DOE Determined To Exceed Authority At The Risk Of Young Women’s Safety

On Monday, May 15, 2023, America’s Future submitted comments opposing the U.S. Department of Education’s (DOE) Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) published in the Federal Register on April 13, 2023, announcing the intention of the Biden DOE to amend the Education Amendments of 1972, specifically Title IX, in a manner blatantly contravening the expressed will of Congress and patently detrimental to young women.

America’s Future Files Amicus Brief with 6th Circuit in “Gender Identity” Case

On Tuesday, January 31, 2023, America’s Future joined six other tax-exempt nonprofit organizations to submit an Amicus brief to the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit in Tennessee, et al. v Department of Education, 6th Cir. Dkt. No. 22-5807 (2022), arguing the lower court appropriately issued a preliminary injunction enjoining the Department of Education (DOE) from implementing a Final Agency Interpretation document published in the Federal Register on June 22, 2021, which indicated an intent, on the part of the administration and its agencies, to wildly misinterpret and misapply the 2020 SCOTUS decision in Bostock v Clayton County, 140 S. Ct. 1731 (2020) in an effort to materially modify Title IX’s prohibition on sex discrimination.
