The term “lawfare” is obviously derived from a combination of the words “law” and “warfare.” It is used in several contexts, but here it is used to describe the calculated efforts of Leftist organizations and operatives to achieve electoral victories unfairly.

On May 27, 2024, politicians and bureaucrats from around the world will gather in Geneva, Switzerland at the headquarters of the World Health Organization (WHO) to implement a global “Pandemic Treaty.”  If this treaty goes into effect, it will grant broad powers over matters of public health to the World Health Organization, including declaring pandemics and dictating health care responses in member countries.

Had the United States implemented Operation Ortsac – its plan to invade Cuba in 1962 – it doubtless would have put priority on seizing  television and radio stations in order to assume control over communications throughout the island nation.  Regulation of the flow of information, especially in a time of turmoil, is essential to subjugating a people.  It is a basic tool of statecraft.

One of the most perplexing and dangerous public policy issues of the day is what is now called “Climate Change.” Leftists in academia, politics, business, and the media have financially profited while pushing versions of this narrative. But for most, the impact of this hysteria on our families, economy, education, mental health, and even military preparedness has been increasingly destructive.

Americans who do not suffer from leftist “wokeness” have found it difficult to understand that retail businesses can be compelled to serve a customer — especially when it offends the moral or religious views of the business owner.

Whenever government is entrusted with a power to do good, we should expect that it will be abused to do ill.  Government is particularly dangerous when it seeks to protect Americans from making bad decisions.
