America’s Future Not On My Watch Podcast with Whistleblower Tara Lee Rodas Shines a Bright Light on HHS’s Broken System Exposing Child Trafficking at the Border

Florida – June 8, 2023 – America’s Future, Inc., a national leader in the fight to preserve individual rights, promote American values and traditions, and protect the nation’s Constitutional Republic, released its first Not On My Watch podcast interview with Tara Lee Rodas and her blistering account of the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) and its broken system at the southern border that handles hundreds of thousands of unaccompanied children entering the U.S.

Ms. Rodas is the courageous HHS whistleblower who first exposed government-sponsored, taxpayer-funded child trafficking occurring at the southern border during her testimony at a hearing on April 26, 2023, before the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration Integrity, Security, and Enforcement. In the Not On My Watch podcast, hosted by Investigative Journalist Liz Crokin, Ms. Rodas describes how a migrant child is used as a commodity in the sex trafficking multi-billion-dollar trade.

“A child is an asset for a trafficker that is used over and over again,” she said. “And a child can be sold 20 to 40 times a day. So, these are criminals we’re talking about. Criminal networks that are getting children.” Ms. Rodas also explains why she remains skeptical of the actual number of missing children reported by HHS since the Biden administration took control of the border.

“They’re saying 85,000 children are missing. There are more than that. Because the only thing to say the child is found is that somebody answers the phone” when a case worker makes an attempt to call the sponsor of the child to whom the child was released. “So, more than 300,000 children have crossed the border since this administration has taken office. More than 300,000. They’re claiming only 85,000 [children] are missing, but they cannot go out and say for sure where all these children are…by one phone call to a person you’ve never even seen? It doesn’t even make sense.”

In the interview, Ms. Rodas also describes her disbelief when she first learned how broken the HHS system was while deployed to the HHS Pomona Fairplex Emergency Intake Site in California after volunteering to help with the crisis at the southern border as part of the administration’s Operation Artemis. She understands why it is difficult for moral people to grasp the extent of the harm and pain felt by children being pushed into a trafficker’s hands.

“I’ve seen this with my own eyes. I’ve seen kids screaming for their parents. I’ve seen kids having to be put on suicide watch.” She urges people to speak out and raise their voices for the children. “One voice can make the difference.”

The Not On My Watch podcast is produced as part of America’s Future Project Defend & Project Our Children (PDPC), a nationwide initiative that aims to build a grassroots community-based network of citizens across America to end child exploitation and trafficking. Liz Crokin and Tara Lee Rodas are members of the PDPC Advisory Board.
