No Matter The Challenge – We The People Rise

The Founding Fathers believed it was self-evident that all men are created equal and thus endowed by God with certain inalienable rights – life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. And yet what We the People, whose consent enables the government to secure those rights, have seen of late is a mockery of the Declaration of Independence, a blight on the Constitution, and a perversion of the Founders’ vision.

Last week began with news that three U.S. soldiers, three of our nation’s best and bravest, were killed in a drone strike in Jordan. This deadly assault was the most recent in a series of 160 attacks launched by Iran-backed terrorists since October. There’s a sound argument to be made that American troops should be withdrawn almost entirely from the Middle East. But if they are going to be stationed abroad, they should be able to defend themselves against hostile forces. And yet time and again the government has prevented them from responding adequately to the vicious depredations of Iran and its allies, and has thus left U.S. forces vulnerable, like pawns in a geopolitical chess game played by rank incompetents. It’s as if the current administration was playing for the other side, defending not U.S. interests but rather those of a terror regime that has targeted Americans for nearly half a century. It appears that the ruling regime is disdainful of American life, even contemptuous of it.

It’s clear our political establishment has opted out of the pact with those from whom they draw the power to govern — us, free-born Americans. Can We the People consent much longer to be ruled by those who set themselves against our inalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness?

The ruling class has flooded the country with millions of foreign fighting-age men from around the world who threaten our peace and prosperity. In New York last week a gang of illegals turned on two New York City patrolman and beat them in the streets of what was at one time one of the world’s great cities. Once apprehended, the assailants were then set free.

Families once came from around the country, indeed the world, to visit our nation’s capital and marvel at the monuments to our liberty. Now Washington, D.C. is virtually a no-go zone, with surging crime, including most recently a murderous carjacking spree that left one dead and another, a former Donald Trump administration official, in critical condition.

The criminal justice system focuses its attention not on criminals but rather on the political opposition. In Nashville this week, six pro-life demonstrators face up to ten years in prison after being convicted for the crime of protesting in front of an abortion clinic.

Thus, the signs of the times couldn’t be any clearer — our elites cherish not life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness but rather prize death, chaos, and misery. And so, the fight for America is not primarily a political struggle but rather a spiritual battle against dark forces. We gird ourselves for the fight, rise to meet the challenges, and we keep the faith in God, country, and the righteousness of our cause. We were born for this time.
