No Matter The Challenge – We The People Rise

Newsletter | February 1, 2024

American Eagle with United States Flag

The Founding Fathers believed it was self-evident that all men are created equal and thus endowed by God with certain inalienable rights – life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. And yet what We the People, whose consent enables the government to secure those rights, have seen of late is a mockery of the Declaration of Independence, a blight on the Constitution, and a perversion of the Founders’ vision.

Last week began with news that three U.S. soldiers, three of our nation’s best and bravest, were killed in a drone strike in Jordan. This deadly assault was the most recent in a series of 160 attacks launched by Iran-backed terrorists since October. There’s a sound argument to be made that American troops should be withdrawn almost entirely from the Middle East. But if they are going to be stationed abroad, they should be able to defend themselves against hostile forces. And yet time and again the government has prevented them from responding adequately to the vicious depredations of Iran and its allies, and has thus left U.S. forces vulnerable, like pawns in a geopolitical chess game played by rank incompetents. It’s as if the current administration was playing for the other side, defending not U.S. interests but rather those of a terror regime that has targeted Americans for nearly half a century. It appears that the ruling regime is disdainful of American life, even contemptuous of it.

It’s clear our political establishment has opted out of the pact with those from whom they draw the power to govern — us, free-born Americans. Can We the People consent much longer to be ruled by those who set themselves against our inalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness?

The ruling class has flooded the country with millions of foreign fighting-age men from around the world who threaten our peace and prosperity. In New York last week a gang of illegals turned on two New York City patrolman and beat them in the streets of what was at one time one of the world’s great cities. Once apprehended, the assailants were then set free.

Families once came from around the country, indeed the world, to visit our nation’s capital and marvel at the monuments to our liberty. Now Washington, D.C. is virtually a no-go zone, with surging crime, including most recently a murderous carjacking spree that left one dead and another, a former Donald Trump administration official, in critical condition.

The criminal justice system focuses its attention not on criminals but rather on the political opposition. In Nashville this week, six pro-life demonstrators face up to ten years in prison after being convicted for the crime of protesting in front of an abortion clinic.

Thus, the signs of the times couldn’t be any clearer — our elites cherish not life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness but rather prize death, chaos, and misery. And so, the fight for America is not primarily a political struggle but rather a spiritual battle against dark forces. We gird ourselves for the fight, rise to meet the challenges, and we keep the faith in God, country, and the righteousness of our cause. We were born for this time.

America Patriots - RaeLynn

RaeLynn is a songwriter and country music recording star from Baytown, Texas, who has shared the stage with legends like Garth Brooks, Keith Urban, Maren Morris, Miranda Lambert, and Blake Shelton. Her singles have gone gold and platinum, and her new single, “Funny Girl,” will be released in March. RaeLynn has also just published a children’s book, Raisin’ Me a Country Girl, based on her song of the same name.  We spoke with RaeLynn recently about music, children, and America — three of her favorite subjects.

Was writing a book harder than writing a song?

I think writing a song and writing a book have their own challenges. Writing songs has always been a therapeutic release for me, so though it can be difficult to write a song, it’s always so fun. With writing this book, the creative release was different, so with anything new, it came with its own challenges. But I have found I love doing both, writing songs and writing books, and I look forward to writing more of both in the future.

Can you tell us about the background story behind your great song “She Chose Me”?

This song is definitely one of my personal favorites and showcased my life story in a new light. “She Chose Me” is about my mom choosing to move forward with her pregnancy regardless of her circumstances at the time. I wanted to write this song as an anthem of support, an anthem of hope, and most of all, an anthem of love.

Which songwriters and recording artists have most inspired you?

There are so many it would be hard to list every single one of them. I have met some of the most genuine, talented, and artistic people throughout my life, but if I had to pick one, it’s Dolly Parton.

You’ve toured all around the country performing your music — what do you like best about being on tour?

The people I meet along the way are the best thing about touring. I love this country, I love and honor our veterans, and I love my fans —people who contribute in great ways to keep this country going, and for that, I’m thankful.

What is your prayer for America?

My prayer for America is that we will continue to fight for truth, fight for the family, and fight for unity.

America’s Future’s Files Amicus Brief with SCOTUS in Separation of Powers Case
Gavel with Scales of Justice Statue

On Monday, January 29, 2024, America’s Future filed an Amicus brief with the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) in Cargill v Merrick B. Garland, U.S. Attorney General, U.S. Department of Justice, et al. Dkt. No. 22-976. In this case, the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) is the petitioner – defendant and Mr. Michael Cargill is the respondent-plaintiff. America’s Future has filed a previous Amicus brief in this case to the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, which can be found here.

The Amicus briefs were filed in support of Mr. Cargill and in support of striking down a 2019 DOJ firearm regulation as an unlawful overreach by an executive branch agency and usurpation of legislative powers. We urge the SCOTUS to affirm the en banc judgment from the full bench of the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, and in doing so find in favor of Mr. Cargill.  We further urge the SCOTUS to instruct the DOJ to execute a nationwide vacatur of the regulation at issue, as an unlawful governmental overreach. The SCOTUS public docket can be accessed here.

The issue presented to the SCOTUS is,

The SCOTUS public docket can be accessed here.

The issue presented to the SCOTUS is,

Whether a bump stock device is a “machinegun” as defined in 26 U.S.C. 5845(b) because it is designed and intended for use in converting a rifle into a machinegun, i.e., into a weapon that fires “automatically more than one shot * * * by a single function of the trigger.”

This case focuses on a December 26, 2018 DOJ interim final rule (IFR), purporting to merely amend or, as stated in the IFR, “clarify” the meaning and characteristics of “machineguns,” as defined by statute, even though the primary characteristic of a “machinegun” has never been overly complex and is generally considered the automatic discharge of multiple rounds with only one trigger pull or in one shot.

Indeed, known as the “Bump Stock Rule,” the IFR expanded the “characteristics” of “machineguns” to such an extent that the DOJ, an executive branch agency, plainly usurped the authority and power to make law constitutionally conferred to the legislative branch.  But why would the DOJ want to expand the definition?  Considering 18 U.S.C. § 922(o)(1) criminalizes ownership of “machineguns” by civilians,  stretching the definition so that it encompasses the most ordinary or popular firearms, naturally swells the power, authority and leverage that the DOJ wields over Americans, law-abiding or not, and, at the same time, thickens the administrative state we live under.

Mr. Cargill initiated the lawsuit on March 25, 2019, the same day that he surrendered his semiautomatic firearm with bump stock to the ATF on account of the IFR taking effect the next day (March 26, 2019), transforming Mr. Cargill from a law-abiding productive citizen at 11:59 p.m. into a criminal at 12:00 a.m. without him lifting a finger.

At stake in this case is not only the Second Amendment, but also rights of due process and the fundamental American legal principle of Separation of Powers.  The current administration and its departments and agencies should not be permitted to manufacture new laws through a “legislative shortcut” of agency rulemaking.  It is impermissible under our system of checks and balances.

Now more than ever, Americans are discovering the depth of corruption that rots the federal government and all its agencies.  The DOJ, the Department of Education), the Department of Health and Human Services, and the rest of them are in a foul state of decay, and yet this IFR illustrates the great lengths that the administrative state will go to bend Americans to their will and defeat our right to live free. For Separation of Powers to survive, the SCOTUS must affirm the en banc judgment of the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, rule fully in favor of Mr. Cargill, and vacate the DOJ’s IFR, nationwide, striking it down as unlawful and another example of government overreach.

America’s Future defends the constitutional rights of Americans.  The DOJ’s IFR, at issue, glaringly contravenes our Separation of Powers Doctrine – one of our most sacred tools against tyranny.

Mitigating Danger By Increasing Knowledge —

Get In The Fight
Eye

The threats to children by sex offenders and predators operating online sextortion schemes is escalating rapidly. If you don’t think it can happen in your family or your neighborhood, or to the families of friends and loved ones, you’d be wrong. A recent study released by the Network Contagion Research Institute (NCRI) reported an “exponential increase in sextortion cases targeting minors and youth on social media platforms over the past 18 months. During this period, the FBI reported a 1,000% increase in financial sextortion incidents, while NCMEC [National Center for Missing and Exploited Children] reported a 7,200% increase in financial sextortion targeting children from 2021 to 2022.”

Predators use blackmail, money demands, threats, and scare tactics of sharing compromising images online to coerce their victims once the criminals have gained their trust. Further accelerating these crimes against unknowing children is the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies by sextortion offenders, according to the NCRI study, which cited Instagram, Snapchat, and Wizz as three of the social media platforms most prominently used for crimes of sextortion because “they have unfettered access to youth.”

At the upcoming Get In The Fight Texas campaign on February 23, starting off with an expert summit panel discussion, followed by a full day of training programs on February 24, participants will have an opportunity to learn how to mitigate the risk and protect children from sextortion and exploitation by attending a seminar presented by Jarrod Sadulski, who has a Ph.D. in criminal justice. At his seminar, he will provide information about the characteristics of traffickers that lead to sextortion and strategies to prevent sextortion.

This training program will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. and will include case studies that provide information to identify the warning signs and what can be done to prevent and respond to sextortion. “Navigating the Emerging Threat of Sextortion” will be followed by a training program from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. that will delve into the perils associated with the integration of AI into daily life, with a particular emphasis on the vulnerability of children and their engagement with social media.

These training sessions are only two of several being offered during the Get In The Fight Texas two-day event at the Birchman Baptist Church, 9100 N Normandale St. in Fort Worth. Other programs are targeted to parents and industry-specific professionals, as well as a special program offered to teens ages 14 years old and older with parental consent.  “Just For Teens” will address “healthy, unhealthy, and toxic relationships” to empower teens with information to be able to determine the difference and make healthy relational choices.

Get In The Fight Texas is the fourth state campaign established by America’s Future as part of its Project Defend & Protect Our Children (PDPC) initiative to bring information, knowledge, and tools to grassroot Americans in states across the country to combat the crisis of child exploitation and trafficking. Hundreds of people have attended state summits and training programs in Florida, Michigan, and Illinois thus far. Following the Texas campaign this month, campaigns are scheduled for Washington State on April 26-27, Pennsylvania on May 17-18, and Ohio on June 14-15, with more states in the planning stages. Tools Of Tyrants
The Great Replacement

This is the seventh entry in our In Focus series identifying and exposing the tools that modern-day tyrants are using to thwart the will of We The People for power and control. To access previous articles, please click here.

When Americans recognize that massive immigration from third world countries is changing American politics, leftists are incensed. Americans were not supposed to notice. And if we ever complain that the political power and economic resources of Americans is being eroded by illegal newcomers, we are accused of believing in “Replacement theory,” or “The Great Replacement.” Such Americans automatically are called: “racists,” “white supremacists,” and believers in a “right-wing conspiracy theory.”

But the truth is that there is a leftist strategy to undermine the America we know by overwhelming the nation with an influx of illegal aliens who have no commitment to our American heritage. These immigrants frequently gather in “ethnic enclaves” where they seek to preserve the language, culture, and traditions of their home country. Some come, waving their foreign flags, seeking to assist the “reconquista” of the Southwestern United States. They demonstrate the truth of the saying that “immigration without assimilation is invasion.”

Allowing waves of immigrants has vast political consequences. How Americans vote is significantly affected by their cultural, religious, and racial backgrounds. A 1969 book by Kevin Phillips, The Emerging Republican Majority, explained voting patterns and predicted that Republicans could take advantage of demographics to win political office. An obvious corollary is that as the population of a nation changes, so also does the politics of the nation.

During the Reagan and Bush years, it was Chamber of Commerce Republicans who wanted massive immigrations to drive down wages of workers. Democrats wanted to protect lower earning groups by restricting immigration. Leftist farm union organizer Cesar Chavez strongly opposed immigration to protect farm workers.

This political alignment shifted about the time that a book entitled The Emerging Democratic Majority was published in 2002, which showed that Democrats were studying demographics as well. This book explained to Democratic strategists how massive immigration could change the politics of the nation in their favor. This was also the time that the “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion” movement spread off campuses to infect politics. For the last two decades, every Democrat or Rhino incumbent or candidate has understood that when the borders are opened to those from all over the world, America will be filled with people dependent on government and for whom totalitarian rule has been the norm.

On October 30, 2008, Barack Obama audaciously stated: “We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America.” Obama lectured the nation that our immigration system is broken; that nothing can be done until we have “comprehensive immigration reform.” He wanted to bring undocumented immigrants (he refused to say “illegal aliens”) “out of the shadows,” grant amnesty, and provide a path to citizenship.

Americans were told, “diversity is our strength,” but the truth is that the kind of immigration we have had makes every problem the nation faces worse. No problems (not health, education, drugs, crime, spending, etc.) can be solved when a nation has a combination of a welfare state to attract immigrants seeking free services and open borders to let them in. Immigration upset Americans, but neither party did much to protect the border until that day in June 2015, when Donald and Melania Trump rode down the escalator at Trump Tower to deliver his announcement speech, declaring:

The U.S. has become a dumping ground for everybody else’s problems…  When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best…. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems…. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime.

Every politician entrusted with political office has two goals:  first, get re-elected, and second, move up the ladder.  But most of our ruling class has alienated American voters by spying on us, stealing our freedoms, inflating our currency, and embroiling us in foreign wars.

Question:  how could unpopular, leftist politicians in both parties stay in power?
Answer:  change the nature of the electorate.

The plan is being implemented to overwhelm those Americans who built this nation with an influx of Third World immigrants — people who do not share our language, our culture, or our traditions.  Those immigrants will be loyal to those politicians who let them into America, and those who provide housing, food and healthcare.  They are not familiar with living in a free state, so when they are controlled, they will neither notice, nor care, nor be willing to resist the ruling class.

This is not just happening in America.  In 2017, Britain’s Douglas Murray wrote a book entitled The Strange Death of Europe.  “Europe is committing suicide.  Or at least its leaders have decided to commit suicide,” the book begins.  In thoroughly documented detail, Murray shows how massive immigration, mostly from Islamic countries, has dovetailed with native Europeans’ rejection of Christianity and the cultural values of liberty and individual rights it bequeathed to Europe, to destroy those values.

In 1989, President Reagan gave his farewell address to the nation from the Oval Office.  He remembered that in his youth students “were taught, very directly, what it means to be an American.  And we absorbed, almost in the air a love of country and an appreciation of its institutions.”  But he sternly warned:

If we forget what we did, we won’t know who we are.  I’m warning of an eradication of the American memory that could result, ultimately, in an erosion of the American spirit.  (Emphasis added.)

Open borders are not the American way.  Our Founding Fathers recognized the danger we face.  Madison believed that “those who acquire the rights of citizenship, without adding to the strength or wealth of the community are not the people we are in want of,” and that America should exclude the alien who could not readily “incorporate himself into our society.”  Hamilton wrote:  “The safety of a republic depends essentially on the energy of a common national sentiment; on a uniformity of principles and habits; on the exemption of the citizens from foreign bias and prejudice; and on … love of country….”

But there is reason for hope.  Leftists shifted their position against immigration to support open borders in service to their new religion of “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.”  Leftists took the position that foreigners are better than Americans.  And, in pursuit of their new religion, leftists abandoned the interests of their own historic voting constituencies who had the most to lose from immigrants who would gladly take their jobs at half the salary.  These leftists assumed they had the Black and Hispanic vote in their pocket — where else would they go?   But Blacks and Hispanics are coming to realize that they have been sold out.  This trend began to appear in the 2020 election, when voters in deeply Latino districts along the Texas-Mexico border began to change how they voted.

Yes, we are in the middle of a Great Replacement — but the final chapter has not been written.  It just may be that historic political divisions are melting away, and all Americans who share the values of our country will join together to preserve our American Republic.
