A Nation Designed For Times Like These

The U.S. Secretary of Defense went AWOL. On January 1, Lloyd Austin was hospitalized, and his chief of staff and three other aides failed to inform the commander-in-chief that he was out of commission. A uniformed service member would be subject to a maximum of six months in jail for violating Article 86 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, but no one is going to hold Austin accountable for an unprecedented and unwarranted breakdown in the chain of command.

Last week, we started the new year discussing accountability and how that’s now Team America’s watchword — with our blessings and our rights come duty and accountability. We hold ourselves accountable to ourselves, our families and communities, and to our country. This week, we hold to account senior government officials charged with leading our servicemen and women but who are incapable of governing themselves.

For the last several months, Americans wearing our country’s uniform have been under attack throughout the Middle East by Iranian proxies. Pentagon leadership has done little to protect them lest it anger the terror regime in Tehran, with which the Joe Biden administration seeks an agreement that will legalize Iran’s nuclear weapons program. In other words, it appears that the current administration has sent Americans into a danger zone for no purpose except to advance the interests of a U.S. adversary.

Other Iranian allies, Yemen’s Houthi rebels, have virtually closed down the Red Sea to commercial shipping. One of the world’s largest shipping companies, Maersk, is avoiding the Red Sea entirely to take a longer route around the African continent, raising costs of consumer goods for middle-class Americans. And the U.S. Navy is all but silent. It’s worth recalling that this storied institution was re-established in 1794 to protect American commerce from Middle East pirates on the Barbary Coast. Since the end of World War II, one of the Navy’s most vital missions has been to protect global shipping lanes. And yet under Austin and the President he serves, Red Sea pirates controlled by Tehran have acquired the power to set the price for world markets.

The current commander-in-chief gave a speech last week at Valley Forge, likening himself to the father of our country. But his purpose was not to unify Americans in one great cause, as George Washington inspired those under his command. Rather, it was to sow further division and savage not only his leading political opponent, President Trump, but also his followers, half the country — and growing. President Washington defeated the greatest military power of the day and defeated a tyrant for the cause of American liberty. By contrast, Joe Biden has opened our southern border to an illegal invasion force of millions, for the purpose of terrorizing and impoverishing Americans and further enriching our corrupt ruling class.

In the strictest sense, it doesn’t really matter Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin went missing half a week, for his record shows he’s been absent from the outset. He’s not in charge, nor is the President, for no one in this government wants to take responsibility for leading the country they were hired to lead. America has reached a new low in the character of its governance and it’s time to right the ship.

The fact is that there is no cavalry coming over the horizon. No one is on the way to rescue us from our current condition. It’s just us, We the People. And that’s how our Founding Fathers designed it — government by, of, and for the people. Now is the time that our mettle is tested.

We spoke with him recently to get his views on the state of our great nation.

With the recent pro-Hamas protests filling city streets and college campuses throughout America, are we seeing the rise of radical Islam here in the U.S.?

Worse than just the ever-present threat of Radical Islam, we are having revealed to us the erstwhile hidden pandemic of institutionalized Jew-hatred. With hundreds and thousands of pro-Hamas demonstrators screaming genocidal chants like “From the River to the Sea!” across the cities of America and a Harvard President incapable of denouncing it, we have seen the reality of extremism in America, and it’s not from anyone wearing a MAGA hat.

Which countries do you consider America’s most important allies and why?

Israel because it is on the frontline in the war with those who wish to destroy Judeo-Christian civilization. Japan, because it is on the frontline in the war with China, our greatest enemy. And Poland because of all European states, it understands the threat of resurgent Russia the best.

Your parents fought against a totalitarian regime in their native Hungary. Does that help you understand what is happening in America right now?

It is why I am who I am. The fact that my father bore the scars of the interrogations at the hands of the Communist Secret Police until his dying day, informs all I have done professionally, from my work on Jihadi authoritarians to the totalitarianism of the Biden regime and today’s Democrat party.

America is facing many threats right now, foreign and especially domestic, but what do you think is the single most important issue heading into the 2024 election?

Whether we will have a Republic at all if the Left is re-elected.

What is your prayer for America?

That Americans who love America wake up and stop those who hate America by getting politically engaged. NOW.

One Is Not Enough To Defeat This Enemy

It is all well and good that this month is proclaimed Human Trafficking Prevention Month and that today, January 11, 2024, is set aside as “human trafficking awareness day.” However, with untold numbers of “missing” children entering the U.S. at the southern border and a government “acting as a middle-man” allowing child trafficking to take place at tax-payer expense, as described by whistleblowers, plus daily headlines of despicable sex trafficking crimes by powerful people, e.g., Epstein, and far too many heartbreaking stories told by victims preyed upon by pedophiles and perverts, doesn’t it make more sense for a country, our nation, to declare every month and every day henceforth dedicated to human trafficking prevention and awareness?

It sure does to America’s Future. And, with a focus on defeating the traffickers, abusers, criminals, and perverts who harm children, America’s Future set into motion its Get In The Fight nationwide campaigns across the country to open the lines of communication on subjects and topics including child exploitation and trafficking to raise awareness, deliver the facts of the matters, and offer training to grassroots Americans mobilizing their communities to take action to end this crisis.

This month, on January 26 and 27, at the Fox River Lutheran in Sheridan, Illinois, America’s Future will hold its third state Get In The Fight campaign with a summit panel discussion on Friday evening, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., followed by a full day of training programs on Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The summit panel will be moderated by Lara Logan, an award-winning investigative journalist and America’s Future Board Director. Expert panelists will include Bazzel Baz, founder and president of the Association for the Recovery of Children (ARC); Tara Lee Rodas, HHS whistleblower; Liz Crokin, investigative journalist and author; Michelle Peterson, “Andrew’s Law” advocate; and Tina Baz, ARC Human Trafficking Program Director. Lara, Baz, Tina, Liz, and Tara are members of the America’s Future Project Defend & Protect Our Children (PDPC) Advisory Board. Master filmmaker Mike Smith, director of Out Of Shadows and Into The Light and an America’s Future Board Director, will also be on hand with a showing of his movie, Into The Light. General Mike Flynn, America’s Future Board Chair, will give special remarks.

Among the courses taught by experienced instructors include seminars for healthcare professionals, parents and caring adults, first responders, and overcomers. There is also a program offered on artificial intelligence (AI) and how traffickers and predators blend apps and AI tools with psychological operations techniques to control human behavior, and a seminar on federal, state, and local legal resources and regulations governing child exploitation and trafficking. This course introduces a uniquely designed, user-friendly digital resource library of laws, hotlines, and other important information created especially for Illinois residents.

Tyrants Incite Fear To Control Us

This is the fourth entry in our In Focus series identifying and exposing the tools that modern-day tyrants are using to thwart the will of We The People for power and control. To access previous articles, please click here.

It is truly remarkable how many Bible verses admonish us to “Fear not.” These verses begin with God speaking to Abram in Genesis 15:1, and continue through Jesus telling John “Fear not” in Revelation 1:17. In between, the gospels are overflowing with admonitions from Jesus to eschew fear, such as: “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” John 14:27. Just maybe God knew something about His creation — that we would be prone to fear.

The source of fear was identified in 2 Timothy 1:7, which tells us that “God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” Some fear is reasonable, and some serves a useful purpose. After all, we live in a fallen world and face opposition from a real and powerful enemy. But fear must be kept in check. The Biden Administration is helping Patriots understand another verse: “We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.” 2 Corinthians 4:8-9.

Why is it so important not to be fearful? Fear defeats logic and reason. It can make us timid rather than bold, as we speak of being “paralyzed” by fear. It can cause us to call a man “she” just because someone tells us to do so, thereby denying the truth of God’s creation. Some fears can develop into phobias which can totally control lives. Fear creates anxiety and stress. The number of people suffering from anxiety is astonishing, and the solution is not pharmaceuticals, but faith and confidence in our Creator God.

So how is fear used by Tyrants? Fear is one of the most powerful weapons available to government. When the People are fearful, we can be manipulated, and Tyrants can grab more and more power. For some reason, we believe that government has our best interests at heart and can make us safe. We want government to protect us. When an attack was suffered on 9/11, first at the World Trade Center, and then the Pentagon, and then the anthrax scare, Americans didn’t know what would come next. We were fearful, even in a state of panic, and the government took full advantage of that fear to gain new powers with the Patriot Act. The question is, will we fall for the trick again — and cede even more power to the State?

This problem did not begin with 9/11. The American People were manipulated by fear into supporting the creation of the Federal Reserve. See Eustace Mullins, The Federal Reserve Conspiracy (Omni Publications: 1971) and G. Edward Griffin’s The Creature from Jekyll Island, 5th edt. (American Media: 2010). Now, we are being told that climate change will cause the earth’s destruction unless we grant more power to government. See Lawrence W. Newman, The Climate Change Hoax; Pathway to Socialism (Silver Millenium Publications: 2019). That is not to say that all fears are misplaced. For example, it is not irrational for a person to fear his own government considering the astonishing fact that a person is more likely to be killed by his own government than by another government in war or other attack. SeeR.J. Rummel, Death by Government: Genocide and Mass Murder Since 1900 (Routledge: 1997).

Chapman University conducts a periodic Survey of American Fears and publishes the top 10 fears in America. The Spring 2023 survey demonstrated that many of these fears are quite reasonable. The number one fear was: “Corrupt government officials — 60.1%.” That shows that some Americans are waking up to the fact that government is not our friend. The number two fear was “Economic/financial collapse — 54.7%.” Again, a very real fear, as Republicans in Congress join with Democrats to spend our nation into oblivion.

In 2022, a documentary called “Doomed to Repeat It” was released. The documentary makes the case that the number one tool that “tyrannical, power-hungry individuals use to gain power, increase their power, and oppress people … is fear.”

Psychologist Dr. Joe Lipetzky explains that Tyrants benefit even when people do not fear the Tyrant — just as long as they fear something.

[T]yrants have to “keep society in a certain level of stress” and high emotion to fulfill their aims in getting people [to] act in ways they never would if their minds were calm. Part of this process involves differentiating and labeling the “good guys” and the “bad guys” while creating rivalry between them. [Emphasis added.]

In the 2020 election cycle, Democrats turned COVID news coverage into what pollster John Zogby labeled “fear porn.” Historian and philosopher John Leake noted that when Tyrants make large segments of society fearful of the Tyrant’s targeted person or group, it is not long before “the scapegoating phenomenon [will] emerge and become very virulent. An idea will catch hold and it’s very rooted in primitive emotion, anger, fear, resentment, and it starts to spread like a contagion, like an infectious disease.” Manipulating fear, Tyrants can mobilize large segments of their population to help control dissenters — such as those who did not believe Anthony Fauci’s lies about the COVID-19 vaccine.

Dr. Mattias Desmet, a professor of clinical psychology at Ghent University in Belgium, explains how Tyrants can exploit a phenomenon that has been discussed widely in the aftermath of the COVID-19 panic — Mass Formation Psychosis. It is described as: “a kind of broad scale hypnosis that causes large groups of people to band together to fight a common enemy with complete lack of concern for the loss of individual rights, privileges, and even well-being.” In addition, it: “can be the first step toward totalitarianism and the commission of atrocity in the name of collective welfare.” [Emphasis added.]

Scientists who study dictators note that “dictators are able to spread fear among their people, and place themselves as their only salvation.” Joe Biden’s September 1, 2022 speech in Philadelphia is a classic example of this tactic of tyrants. Accusing his opponent, former President Donald Trump, of wanting to be a dictator, he called the 2022 midterm elections a “battle for the soul of the nation.” Biden claimed loudly that “MAGA Republicans do not respect the Constitution. They do not believe in the rule of law. They do not recognize the will of the people.” Former Trump White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany described the scene: “Standing in front of a hellish red background Biden called half the country, the MAGA Republicans ‘threats’ & ‘clear and present dangers.’” Former Trump Treasury Department spokesperson Monica Crowley offered this: “The imagery there was almost Satanic, with that blood-red lighting and the two Marines behind him. It was just insane.”

Truly, “the fear of man bringeth a snare.” Proverbs 29:25. Fear destroys the “sound mind” which citizens need to defend liberty. Tyrannical leaders will continue to try to stoke fear in our hearts, but when we know their tactics, we are better able to refuse to be manipulated.
