Florida – May 31, 2024 – America’s Future, Inc., a national leader in the fight to preserve individual rights, promote American values and traditions, and protect the nation’s Constitutional Republic, announced that its Amicus briefs filed in the case, National Rifle Association of America (NRA) v Maria T. Vullo, SCOTUS Dkt. 22-842, helped score a win in a unanimous decision by the Supreme Court of the United States in defense of the First Amendment. The ruling was issued yesterday (May 30, 2024).

The lawsuit was filed against Manhattan government officials who, while in office, abused their power by using their political positions to coerce, threaten, and intimidate others against lawfully associating with the NRA.

The ruling defends the First Amendment rights of speech and association and provides that all citizens and organizations must be treated fairly and even-handedly by government officials, no matter political preference. The opinion states that “While a government officials can share her views freely and criticize particular believes in the hopes of persuading others, she may not use the power of her office to punish or suppress disfavored expression.”
