The Rightful Restoration of Power

Newsletter | October 6, 2022

Eagle In The Clouds

It’s coming. You can feel it. It’s clear and crisp like the best days of Fall when things come into focus. And it’s not just you, it’s everyone around you, too. That’s what it feels like when America is awakening.

Thousands of readers have followed our ongoing series on the media. Hundreds respond each week to our surveys addressing the legacy press’ role in the “confederation of corruption.” Sadly, the bulk of our once free and independent press has become a platform for information operations seeking to undo America’s peace and prosperity. More and more Americans are aware and paying attention with clear focus.

It’s not just pointless and endless foreign wars and climate change the media tries to push on the public. They absolutely intend to drive Americans against each other — Republicans v Democrats, Black v White, Men v Women, Adults v Children, etc. Our divisions increase their power.

As for our prosperity, virtually every policy coming out of Washington these days is a scheme to transfer wealth from the middle-class to big money donors and Beltway contractors. The Green New Deal is an obvious contrived scheme. Vaccine mandates are a government mechanism to print money for Big Pharma and, in return, retain political power unto themselves. Anything that destabilizes America makes the ruling class richer and more powerful, like open borders and foreign wars.

It’s about money and power — the reasons for the establishment’s desperate efforts to control information. If they’re not outright censoring information, they’re smearing innocent messengers. We’ve all heard it by now — anyone who steps out of the official narrative is pushing “disinformation,” even “Russian disinformation,” or “conspiracy theories.”

But how many of those “conspiracy theories” have turned out to accurately reflect the truth? Plenty. Medical studies, for instance, illustrate COVID-19 vaccines are less effective than they are dangerous. There was no collusion between President Trump nor his campaign and Russia.  And even the press that once censored news of Hunter Biden’s laptop had to acknowledge it was all true.

The media was so eager to serve its political masters, it couldn’t help itself from disseminating lies so big that Americans started to take notice. They were trying to take advantage of the fact that we’re a busy, hard-working people. We spend our time providing for our families, building our communities, and serving our great nation. We don’t have time to run down every rumor pushed by the media to see if it’s true or false.

So they overplayed their hand and now their kingdom of lies is crumbling all around them. Americans have awakened. We demand accountability. And the power is being placed back in the hands of We The People – rightfully restored.

We’ve got a critical election in just 33 days. It’s a referendum on truth. And those who’ve hidden the truth from us, using the media as their instrument, should be held to account.

We, at America’s Future, believe it’s essential we all understand what we’re up against. Exposing truths about the mainstream media is just one way we fulfill our mission to protect our freedom.

Down with their kingdom of lies. And long live life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness!

Please take this week’s Reader’s Survey and share your thoughts and insights with us about the topics presented in the essay above. We read them all and appreciate your time and attention to submit your responses. Your Vote – A “Solemn Trust” to God and Country

Samual Adams Quote

America’s Founding Fathers laid the foundation for citizen participation. They knew this beautiful experiment in democracy would only exist over generations if each citizen realized the importance of getting involved and taking action. In 33 days, Americans have the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of our Founders by casting their vote on November 8, Election Day.

Voting is every citizen’s sacred duty. The words of Founding Father Samuel Adams in 1781 still ring true today.

Let each citizen remember at the moment he is offering his vote that he is not making a present or a compliment to please an individual – or at least that he ought not so to do; but that he is executing one of the most solemn trusts in human society for which he is accountable to God and his country.

Let nothing deter you from voting this Election Day. Our country faces the most consequential of times. Our freedom and liberties are at stake. Your vote matters to future decisions made by elected officials that will shape our lives today, and the lives of generations to come.

Keeping You Informed
SCOTUS Positioned to Issue Landmark Decisions in New Term

On Monday, October 3, 2022, the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) began its new term. To keep our readers up-to-date and well informed, this week we kick off our series that will identify and offer brief commentary about notable cases the SCOTUS will tackle as every decision is the “law of the land” and as a result, the bottom-line rulings are binding authority on all other courts in the nation.

Cases are selected based upon public interest, significance, and the potential for impact on all Americans. With much concern about election integrity and the November 2022 midterm elections just 33 days away, we start this series with two cases involving elections, redistricting, and voting rights deserve attention.

Merrill v Milligan

This case, John H. Merrill, Alabama Secretary of State, et al., Appellants v Evan Milligan, et al., Dkt No. 21-1086, concerns redistricting in Alabama. The case was argued before the Justices on October 4, 2022. The transcript of the oral argument can be located here.

  • In Merrill v Milligan, the SCOTUS will tackle whether Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act was violated through Alabama’s 2020 redistricting design.  Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act prohibits a state from introducing a rule, practice, or procedure that would discriminate against someone based on their race.  This issue has arisen on numerous occasions in various states in the redistricting context.  Legal scholars agree that courts across the nation have been subject to appeals because, for the most part, there is no clear test or specific standards that lower courts could apply in order to appropriately determine whether Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act is complied with by the state legislators.  It is probably high time the SCOTUS delve into this matter in order to provide sufficient guidance to lower courts and legislators.  Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act has led to confusion and has placed legislators in quagmires whereby they are understandably concerned that no matter how the redistricting is designed, they will be sued and perhaps accused of discrimination.  This case is potentially very important to the future of the American political landscape.

Moore v Harper

This case regards election integrity, redistricting, and voting rights.  The full SCOTUS docket for Timothy K. Moore, in His Official Capacity as Speaker of the North Carolina House of Representatives, et al., v Rebecca Harper, et al., Dkt No. 21-1271, is located here.

  • In Moore v Harper, the SCOTUS is asked to determine whether a state court has constitutional authority and limitless judicial discretion to invalidate state regulations that were duly created by the state legislature regarding elections and then to replace the regulations with a set of their own court-created regulations.  This case highlights a key controversy concerning judicial activism and the potential partisan nature of state courts, particularly in states where the judges are elected for a term of years.  This case comes out of North Carolina, where this is precisely the case.  The judges in North Carolina campaign for elections and re-elections, are almost always financially backed by one party or the other and are elected for a term of years by North Carolinians just like the state’s governor, state representatives, and other publicly-elected officials. This case represents circumstances that undermine the most important tenets America’s judicial branch is built upon, that is that judges be impartial, neutral and disinterested with respect to cases that come before them.  We, at America’s Future, filed an Amicus brief in this case just last month, on September 6, 2022.  You can read our brief and additional commentary on our Law & Policy webpage.

Overall, this term is historic.  SCOTUS is poised to take on several constitutional controversies of great import including the cases described above, as well as others regarding race, free speech, and freedom of religion.  Furthermore, the newest Associate Justice on our high court, the Hon. Ketanji Brown Jackson, takes her seat as the first African American female Justice to hold the position.

Each term, the SCOTUS accepts and resolves roughly 70 cases.  Most decisions are issued at the end of the term, i.e., in June of the following year.  The SCOTUS is still accepting cases for the second half of this term so it is not yet known exactly how many (or which) cases the SCOTUS will resolve. As of today (October 6, 2022), the SCOTUS has accepted 43 cases, although two are “on hold” pending outcomes of other similar cases.  We, at America’s Future, are pleased to keep you informed about cases in front of SCOTUS’s during this current term.To access the SCOTUS website for more information, visit https://www.supremecourt.gov.

Unequal Justice Under Law
FBI Targeting of Pro-Life Advocates

This is the seventh article in our series on the nation’s premiere law enforcement agency, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and its self-destruction over time.

In recent days, the FBI has concentrated its mammoth manpower on investigating and prosecuting those who came to Washington, D.C. on January 6, 2021 to support honest elections.  Also, the FBI has long targeted gun owners, Constitutionalists, and various others perceived to be “Enemies of the State.”  What has been overlooked is that one of the FBI’s targets has been those in the pro-life movement.  Let’s review some of the special attention the FBI has devoted to pro-lifers.

In August 2010, the FBI and the Department of Justice co-sponsored a training seminar with national abortion organizations including Planned Parenthood, the Feminist Majority Foundation and the National Abortion Federation.  The FBI training defined as “violence” various common pro-life “activities such as praying, providing women outside abortion centers with alternatives information, and peaceful protesting or picketing.”  Imagine FBI agents being trained to spot those praying on street corners as especially deserving of investigation and prosecution.

In March 2022, FBI agents raided and arrested nine pro-life advocates on charges of blocking the entrance to an abortion clinic almost a year and a half previously — in October of 2020.  Some of the pro-lifers were rounded up in FBI raids of their homes and places of work.  Some were arrested in FBI raids on their homes in the dark of night, as video now shows.  The pro-lifers were charged with violations of the “Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act” (“FACE Act”), which carries potential prison sentences of 11 years.

Let’s pause to consider whether that aggressive enforcement has been even-handed.  After the leak of Justice Alito’s draft Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization overturning Roe v. Wade, the nation suffered more than 50 attacks against churches, pro-life pregnancy centers, and other pro-life groups.  The FBI refused to respond for weeks.

On June 16, 2022, Arkansas Senator Tom Cotton wrote a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland, demanding that he investigate pro-abortion extremist group “Jane’s Revenge” for domestic terrorism after the group took responsibility for some of the attacks “including firebombings and grotesque acts of vandalism.”  Cotton wrote to Garland that “[i]f you are unwilling to protect Americans from these attacks, you should resign.”    Yet three months later, not a single arrest has been reported in the attacks on pro-life institutions.  Meanwhile, according to a report by the Catholic New Agency, the number of attacks on pro-life institutions has ballooned to nearly 100.

Most recently, on September 23, 2022, dozens of armed FBI agents with drawn guns executed an early-morning raid on the Pennsylvania home of Catholic pro-life advocate Mark Houck, arresting him at gunpoint in front of his seven children.  The FBI accuses Houck of violating the FACE Act, based on Houck’s involvement in a peaceful protest in October 2021. Apparently, a pro-abortion escort said crude and disgusting things to Houck’s minor son.  Houck defended his son and months later, the FBI raided his home and executed a SWAT-style arrest. Even Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner, a Soros-backed prosecutor, declined to press charges against Houck.

The FBI appears to have little to no time to investigate the Hunter Biden laptop, or the claims of former Biden family business partner Tony Bobulinski, but found time to raid the home of a peaceful, law-abiding, pro-lifer.  This kind of FBI behavior is no accident — it is designed to send a warning to other pro-life advocates and sidewalk counselors not to use their First Amendment rights to persuade pregnant women not to have abortions.

Many have now realized that the nation’s premiere law enforcement agency long ago declared war on pro-lifers and their free-speech rights.  As the FBI targets champions for life in our nation, and ignores crimes by its crony politicians, more and more people are concluding that the FBI is not an institution in need of reform — it is one needing to be abolished.
