Rampage On America

Newsletter | May 11, 2023

Croud

The rampage on America by massive numbers of illegals with unknown backgrounds and untold purposes, whose first act on American soil is to break U.S. law, is brought to us by the men and women who took an oath to protect American citizens and our national sovereignty.

They’re here – millions of men, women, and children who entered the country illegally. So many, the “real” number is hard to know—estimates since Joe Biden became president range from four to seven million and up. With the Donald Trump-era regulation Title 42 coming to an end, the floodgates are open, the damn is broken, and millions more illegal aliens are expected to surge across.

The invasion by staggering numbers of immigrants into the homeland is unprecedented. This influx of people is typically only seen in far-away countries when people are forced to leave their homes during war. Now, in America, the assault at the southern border by law-breaking illegals that we are witnessing appears to be deliberate and contrived by the ruling class to destroy the fabric of America.

Why did they do it?

For cheap labor. Corporations pay undocumented aliens a fraction of what they’re obliged to pay U.S. citizens. So the rich get richer and working-class Americans undercut by unlawful foreign labor are made poor.

And, to change the electorate; particularly Texas a red state, now inundated with future blue voters. And it’s not the only state as illegals are flown across the nation in the still of the night. It’s no secret that the political systems of the countries where most illegals hail from are based on patron-client relationships. If you want a job or a home, you support the Party and its leadership no matter what — or else starve. And that’s the model for the current ruling party in the U.S., the party of the oligarchs and coastal elites. To them, the invasion of America means power and wealth. They demand loyalty – or else persecution.

Some fear it may also signal coercive force. To be sure, countries around the world are releasing felons into our country, and no doubt terrorists and foreign spies, too. But there’s another concern, that the millions of fighting-age men who’ve crossed the border may at some point be armed by the ruling party and turned against the population. What do they care about taking up arms against Americans? This is not their home, we are not their families, and our symbols, traditions, and anthems are not theirs.

Nor it seems will they ever be, for our educational system is not in the business of acculturating immigrants and turning them into patriots by instructing them in the glorious history and traditions of our great nation. Rather, teachers and administrators drill them in contempt for America, lessons reinforced by our treasonous media, from newspaper columnists to Hollywood celebrities.

President Donald Trump famously remarked that you can’t have a country without borders. At present, we have no border to the south, but we do still have a country. And like you, America’s Future is resolved to fight for it. Keep speaking up. Get involved in your local community and never surrender.

Please participate in our Reader’s Survey. Your insight and thoughts are important to us to learn what is on the minds and in the hearts of our fellow Americans. We read them all and share some of them every Monday at 9 a.m. during America’s Future live broadcasts with our Executive Director Mary O’Neill on America’s Mondays With Mary. Thank You!

America Patriots - Tara Lee Rodas

When Tara Lee Rodas raised her voice as a whistleblower to speak out against the Department of Health and Human Services and its Unaccompanied Children Program, she did so to put an end to the injustices that violated the dignity and well-being of vulnerable children. Her faith in God guided her and gave her the courage to go public about tshe proliferation of child trafficking occurring at the hands of the U.S. government. Tara raised her voice for those who have no voice. We spoke with Tara recently about the details that compelled her to step forward and what has happened since, how her faith gave her the strength to cope with the evil she has witnessed, and her advice to others considering becoming a whistleblower.

You are a shining example of how one person can have an incredible impact on the world. Can you discuss the positive that has come from you blowing the whistle?

Thank you for your kind and generous words.  And thank you for highlighting the issue of government-sponsored, taxpayer-funded child trafficking. As a whistleblower, my primary concern was the well-being of the children.  I’m hopeful that my actions have helped to bring attention to the crisis and have led to the rescue of children from exploitative situations.

When I first blew the whistle in 2021, I alerted the Department of Justice Office of Inspector General and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of Inspector General that there was fraud in the Unaccompanied Children (UC) Program that was endangering children. I was able to provide valuable information to state Attorney Generals, state prosecutors, and state law enforcement that I hope led to children being rescued from abusive situations and given necessary medical care and other support.

I strongly believe that it is our collective responsibility to protect children from harm and exploitation. I believe that one voice can make a difference. Reporting child trafficking is essential to prevent future trafficking by bringing attention to the problem and encouraging law enforcement agencies to take action.  I hope that my actions, along with the efforts of other whistleblowers and concerned citizens, will bring about lasting change and prevent future incidents of child trafficking. We must remain vigilant and work together to protect the most vulnerable members of our society.
My goal for coming forward was (and still is) to (1) rescue children; (2) prosecute criminals; and (3) abolish or reform the HHS Unaccompanied Children Program. The U.S. can’t be involved in child trafficking!

After speaking at the Congressional subcommittee hearing, do you have hope that Congress will take action? Has there been any follow-up from any elected official to your testimony?

Yes! After speaking at the Congressional subcommittee hearing, I have hope that Congress will take action to protect vulnerable children. Now they know 85,000 are missing.  They know children are working overnight shifts at slaughterhouses, factories, and restaurants to pay their debts to smugglers, traffickers, and cartels.  They know children are being sold for sex.  And they know that hundreds of children are calling a hotline to report they are being abused, neglected, and trafficked.  It’s tragic.

They also know children are being trafficked through a sophisticated network.  I saw it firsthand when I was supporting HHS at the Pomona Fairplex Emergency Intake Site.  I believe I demonstrated that the U.S. government has become the middleman in a large-scale, multi-billion-dollar, child trafficking operation run by bad actors seeking to profit off the lives of children.  This should definitely spur action.  HHS is a $2.7 trillion dollar agency that has spent more than $10 billion on a program that has lost 85,000 children.  This is simply unacceptable to reasonable members of Congress.

Also, I’ve spoken with staffers, and there are more plans underway.  Other whistleblowers are coming forward, and the press is starting to cover the story.  I even did an interview with a Latino news organization called Americano Media.  I hope people in Latin America see the injustice the U.S. government is involved in.  It’s horrific.

Knowing what you know now about the disastrous U.S. government’s immigration policy, especially when it comes to children, what are your top recommendations to prevent the horrors of child trafficking? What can states do? What can local communities do?

As I shared in my testimony, the #1 priority for HHS is Oversight. HHS has lost control of the UC Program because they avoid oversight.  HHS must commit to oversight, transparency, and accountability or be forced to submit to oversight, transparency, and accountability.  Child and sponsor data from the UC Program should be examined by expert data analysts in the Inspector General community at the Pandemic Analytics Center of Excellence (PACE).  Children could be rescued, and criminals could be prosecuted if the PACE had access to the data.  The PACE is the gold standard of data analytics. (The PACE fact sheet can be accessed here.)

HHS must change its culture of “speed over safety.” Speed is the wrong performance measure when we are dealing with children.  HHS must focus on the SAFE release of children not the speed of release. HHS must revamp the vetting process of “sponsors” and have case managers who are investigators, law enforcement, data analysts, etc. who can identify fraud.  HHS is not an investigative agency or a law enforcement agency.  It’s unacceptable that children are released to criminals, traffickers, and members of Transnational Criminal Organizations.  Lastly, sponsors should be accountable for the children they sponsor.  Period.  If the child is being abused, the sponsor should be prosecuted.

In regard to what local communities and states can do. I encourage local communities to get educated about child trafficking and report any suspected child trafficking to local law enforcement. And, states should ask questions like “Who are the children and the sponsors in my state?”  Find out if sponsors are enrolling children in school, caring for the children, and taking the children to their immigration hearings.  Also, find out if the sponsors have criminal records or are forcing the children to work for necessities like food and shelter. States can follow the lead of Florida and Texas by investigating what is really happening to the children.  Texas has human trafficking teams on the ground looking for children and legislators are getting involved. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis convened a statewide grand jury to investigate and has uncovered disturbing facts. (The Florida Grand Jury Presentment can be accessed here.)

To other people out there who are thinking of becoming a whistleblower like you, what encouragement would you give them?

If you’re thinking about blowing the whistle, know that one voice can make a difference…your voice can make a difference. Be brave! If you’re an HHS insider, your decision to speak up can change the life of a child.  You do have the power to make a difference: By speaking up, you can help prevent future trafficking and save lives. Your actions could also inspire others to come forward, amplifying the impact of your efforts.

Also, you’re not alone.  Whistleblowing can be a challenging and sometimes isolating experience. But there are people, organizations, and support networks available that can help you navigate the process and provide emotional support.  I have amazing support from other whistleblowers like the Department of Homeland Security whistleblower, Aaron Stevenson; CNN whistleblower, Cary Poarch; FBI whistleblower, Kyle Seraphin; Google whistleblower, Zach Vorhies, and others. Remember, blowing the whistle is telling the truth to protect the public interest.  Blowing the whistle on heinous crimes like child trafficking is an act of compassion. If you have information that could help protect children from harm, please speak up. Your actions could help save the lives of children.

You have seen the deepest, darkest evil in humanity. How did your faith impact your decision to speak out for the children?

I have never been so close to evil as I was working up close to child trafficking.  Without my faith, I wouldn’t have been able to cope with the evil I saw.  When James O’Keefe (when he was leading Project Veritas) asked me what made me come forward, I told him that these children were God’s children…that they are image bearers of the King and must be protected.

I was compelled to speak out against the injustices that violate the dignity and well-being of vulnerable children.  It’s critical to note that every day I prayed Isaiah 41:10:  “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” I remembered that God would help me do anything He was calling me to do.  I had to trust that He was going to give me grace for every step, and He did.  He gave me supernatural wisdom to see the fraud and gave me supernatural courage to stand up and sound the alarm.  I said many times to my colleagues that the day I was walked off the Pomona Fairplex Emergency Intake Site it would be because of speaking out against HHS policies and speaking up for the children. God gave me the courage, day by day, to speak up for those who could not speak up for themselves.  I never intended to be a voice for unaccompanied children.  God has given me the privilege to testify before Congress and be the voice for His children.  He also helped me through the suffering.  I still suffer.  I’ve heard children screaming for their parents, I’ve seen children have panic attacks, and I’ve sat with case managers as they cried and told me unspeakable things that happened to children on the journey to the border.

I’ve seen the depravity of man.  And, I’ve seen the mercies of God that are new every morning.  I know that one day, no injustice will remain when the rightful King is on the throne.  Until then, I pray for the children, their wicked overlords, and for those in power who can speak up and make a difference for the children.

Keeping You Informed

SCOTUS Has An Opportunity To Rid The Nation Of Bureaucratic “Rulers”

On May 1, 2023, the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) agreed to hear a case that places the landmark Chevron (1984) decision directly at issue. In Loper Bright Enterprises v Raimondo, SCOTUS Dkt. No. 22-451, the SCOTUS will decide whether to overrule Chevron (1984), thereby excising significant power and authority from federal administrative agencies like the IRS and EPA.  The Loper public docket can be found here.

Loper, in fact, could serve as the catalyst this country needs in order to return to some semblance of balance among the three branches of our government.  Notably, Associate Justice Hon. Ketanji Brown Jackson will not take part in the SCOTUS’s resolution of Loper because Justice Jackson heard oral argument by these parties in this case in her former role as a judge on the District of Columbia Court of Appeals.

The SCOTUS ruling in Chevron (1984) directed all courts in the nation to afford administrative agencies, run by contractors and unelected bureaucrats, great deference when issues involving administrative regulations based on statutory interpretation came before them.  Chevron stands for the notion that complex and even unworkable regulatory schemes designed by bureaucrats are somehow an acceptable exercise of power by the Executive branch.

Our system of checks and balances has undoubtedly gone haywire since, at least, the Obama administration when the Executive branch irrefutably took great advantage of the Chevron Doctrine by conferring nearly unlimited authority to federal agencies to enact regulations, no matter the complexity, foolishness, or impractical nature, in a manner so convoluted as to become impossible to unwind.

The Chevron Doctrine has been viewed as the key reason for the modern regulatory state and as an affront to our Separation of Powers Doctrine. Indeed, affording great leeway to administrative agencies like CMS, the IRS, and the EPA, has led to an ungodly expansion of regulations, including those with civil and criminal penalties, and now here we are, living in a bloated bureaucratic administrative state that neither courts nor Congress is capable of correcting with the Chevron Doctrine in place.

Ready and willing to finally decide the viability of the Chevron Doctrine in American jurisprudence, the SCOTUS limited the issue in Loper to the following question presented:

“Whether the [Supreme] Court should overrule Chevron or at least clarify that statutory silence concerning controversial powers expressly but narrowly granted elsewhere in the statute does not constitute an ambiguity requiring deference to the agency.”

For all those interested in how the SCOTUS might decide Loper and whether our Separation of Powers Doctrine will be preserved by limiting bureaucratic rulemaking, Associate Justice Hon. Neil Gorsuch took the Chevron Doctrine to task last year in a well-reasoned formidable dissent to an order denying certiorari in Buffington v McDonough, SCOTUS Dkt. No. 21-972 (petition denied) explaining,

Under a broad reading of Chevron…we tell those who come before us to go ask a bureaucrat. In the process, we introduce into judicial proceedings a systematic bias toward one of the parties. Nor do we exhibit bias in favor of just any party. We place a finger on the scales of justice in favor of the most powerful of litigants, the federal government, and against everyone else.

Associate Justice Gorsuch went further, bringing to light how the Chevron Doctrine undermines our Separation of Powers Doctrine, stating,

As some tell it, Chevron effected a revolution in 1984. As the story goes, the decision overthrew all that came before and enshrined a new rule requiring courts to defer to Executive Branch interpretations of the law. No longer did executive officials have to be right about the law’s meaning to prevail in court—all they had to do was point to some relevant statutory ambiguity or silence and avoid being egregiously wrong.

We, at America’s Future, do not think bureaucrats should run our country.  We did not elect federal contractors and lifelong government employees, yet we continue to live by the rules they draft. This very notion contravenes the American way of life; it disregards oaur three-branch system of government; it undercuts important legal principles; and it flies in the face of our God-given inalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.  We hope the SCOTUS follows the lead of the Hon. Neill Gorsuch in his 2022 dissent and overrules Chevron as expeditiously as possible.

Happy Mother’s Day

Children

Sunday is Mother’s Day. We, at America’s Future, join families in celebration of mothers and the unbreakable bond of love with their children.  Mother’s Day was first established in America on May 8, 1914. On that day, the U.S. Congress passed a law designating the second Sunday in May as Mother’s Day. The next day, President Woodrow Wilson issued a proclamation declaring the first national Mother’s Day as a day for American citizens to display the American flag to honor mothers whose sons and daughters had died in war. In 1934, President Franklin D. Roosevelt approved a stamp commemorating the holiday.

To the mothers in America and across the world, we recognize your kindness, unselfishness, and generosity.  A mother’s job is never finished.  Your ferocity to protect your children throughout their life does not go unnoticed.  Thankful and appreciative for your hard work and dedication to family, we, at America’s Future, pray for you and all those who cherish your love and depend on your bravery, insight, and strength.

The sacred nature of a mother’s work — to love and protect unconditionally, to instill character and self-determination in your children, and to raise children by the golden rule to treat others as they would like to be treated make our country great. America’s Future honors all those mothers who lead the way in life and who fiercely protect our most important treasures – the children of America.

Defund The Federal Beast

Defund Deep State Censorship Of Social Media

This is the third entry in our IN FOCUS section highlighting some of the most abusive and oppressive federal agencies and programs that House Republicans should target for ending. Readers will find the first two articles of the series here.

Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter on October 28, 2022, has had consequences that continue to reverberate throughout America.  One immediate benefit was the reinstatement of not just the Twitter accounts of government officials like Donald Trump and Marjorie Taylor Greene, but also the accounts of hundreds if not thousands of patriots whose voices had been silenced on vital matters including vaccines, the War in Ukraine, the Hunter Biden laptop, critical race theory, election integrity, and transgender castration of minors.

In response to Musk’s liberation of Twitter, the mainstream media accused Musk of having caused a resurgence of online hate.  Those accusations finally died down when Musk counter-attacked a shallow BBC reporter James Clayton for his baseless claims in a video that went viral (watch beginning at the 16:20 mark).

Another consequence of the Musk takeover was the result of his opening of confidential corporate files to a succession of independent journalists including Matt Taibbi.  These independent journalists posted long successions of Tweets, dubbed the “Twitter Files,” which documented the sinister relationship between Twitter under its prior management and the Deep State.  The Biden Deep State issued the censorship orders, and Twitter did the dirty work in censoring dissent.

Based on the Twitter files, Americans learned from journalist Lee Fang about a “censorship portal,” where Big Tech companies like Twitter and Facebook allowed the FBI and Department of Homeland Security to police the speech of Americans, and “flag” speech with which the federal agencies disagreed as “disinformation” for Big Tech to take down or suppress.  Big Tech was then “reimbursed” with taxpayer money for its trouble in spotting and removing dissident speech from the web.  In December 2022, the New York Post reported that “[t]he FBI paid Twitter nearly $3.5 million of taxpayer cash to ban accounts largely linked to conservative voices….”

But the taxpayer-money laundering has gone far beyond just the FBI.  Other federal agencies have apparently also collaborated with non-governmental organizations (NGOs), paying them taxpayer dollars for “disinformation” efforts, which the NGOs have used to target online speech with which the administration disagrees, to then be silenced by the Big Tech companies.

Spending taxpayer money to censor taxpayers would seem to be among the most egregious activities of a federal government that is supposed to obey the First Amendment’s promise: “Congress shall make no law … abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press.”

In December 2022, Congressman Jim Jordan (R-OH), while still the ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee, sent a letter to Twitter demanding “communications and details of FBI payments made to Twitter.”  In April, 2023, now-Judiciary Committee Chairman Jordan sent subpoenas to multiple federal agencies demanding records to show the extent of collusion between government and Big Tech, including taxpayer payments to do the administration’s political bidding.  Subpoenas were sent to the CDC, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, and the Global Engagement Center (GEC), a State Department subsidiary.  “[T]he GEC, which granted $100,000 to the Global Disinformation Index in 2021, has reportedly also given money to the Atlantic Council’s Digital Forensic Research Lab.  That same lab flagged more than 40,000 accounts to Twitter in June 2021.”

On March 9, 2023, journalist Michael Shellenberger testified before the Weaponization Committee about what he called the “Censorship Industrial Complex,” and urged Congress to defund all such programs.  Since January 2021, Shellenberger testified that much more money is being spent on censorship than just the few million dollars handed to Twitter.  He explained that since January 2021:

the National Science Foundation (NSF) has made at least 64 government grants totaling $31.8 million on the science of “countering” social media “mis/disinformation” and two government grants totaling $7 million.  Forty-two colleges and universities received 64 grants.  NSF created a new research track, “Track F”, for disinformation and censorship research called the “Trust and Authenticity in Communication Systems.”

Shellenberger noted that “[t]he censorship complex employs various tactics” — including “the relentless demand for censorship, as we saw with the Twitter Files and the Facebook Files….  Another is directing government and philanthropic money toward research and advocacy for greater censorship of social media platforms.”  (Today, many have forgotten that in 2021, stories about the so-called “Facebook Files” were released which explained that the social media site used by some 2.9 billion people was manipulating its News Feed algorithm to suppress disfavored views.)

When the Biden Administration tried to institutionalize such government control over social media with its “Disinformation Governance Board,” even the far-left ACLU criticized Twitter’s former policies:  “The First Amendment bars the government from deciding for us what is true or false, online or anywhere.  Our government can’t use private pressure to get around our constitutional rights.”

I don’t think that there’s any way to do it other than to treat it as an information war,” admitted Renee DiResta, a founder of the Stanford Internet Observatory (SIO), one of the top left-wing content censors receiving taxpayer dollars.”  “It’s a constantly evolving arms race” to censor social media content, DiResta said.  “This will require that social media platforms, independent researchers, and the government work together as partners in the fight” against conservative speech on social media.

As Shellenberger explained “Censorship is a subsidized industry,” making freedom-loving taxpayers funding a war on their own freedoms.  The Left recognizes that we are in an information war.  If House Republicans fail to recognize that truth and fail to cut off federal funds being used to censor speech in violation of the First Amendment, it will be difficult to regain the country.  House Republicans hold the power of the purse, and must use it to defund all government efforts to influence speech – Now!

Postscript:  Although Twitter has come a long way in freeing up speech, it is still censoring in some areas.  For example, an effort to Tweet a story from Health Impact News entitled:  “INFANTICIDE: 4,739 Dead Babies in VAERS Following COVID-19 Shots Injected Into Pregnant and Child-Bearing Aged Women,” could not be Tweeted as this story was being finalized.  Twitter responds: “Something went wrong, but don’t fret — let’s give it another shot,” as well as a message which appears briefly and disappears: “We can’t complete this request because this link has been identified by Twitter or our partners as being potentially harmful. Visit our Help Center to learn more.”
