Know Your Constitution America!

There is no more important document for Americans to read and study than the Constitution of the United States. Signed more than 200 years ago on Sept. 17, 1787, the Constitution established America’s system of government as a Constitutional Republic with three branches – executive, legislative and judicial. The Preamble (below) summarized the purpose our Founding Fathers sought to achieve for the people of a new nation.

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common Defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

Thousands of men and women have given the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation, fulfilling the promise to generations of Americans the framers of the Constitution set out in the document. It is our obligation today, more than ever before, to cherish the bounty and beauty of America, and be among those willing to stand together on the frontline so to pass the torch of freedom to a new generation while it still burns bright.

These are the fearless fighters of our generation who believe in American values so deeply, they are willing to give their all to ensure that this great nation never succumbs to evil forces that threaten our freedom and way of life.

America’s Future stands side-by-side with these tireless warriors for freedom and liberty and honors their work with an annual award of recognition.

Raise the Flag – Say the Pledge

The American Flag and the Pledge of Allegiance symbolize the very essence of American values and traditions. They are historic icons that unite our country and help us remember the men and women who fought and died for our freedom over generations.

To encourage thoughtful reflection of what the flag and Pledge signify to our nation, America’s Future launched a campaign, “Raise the Flag, Say the Pledge,” with its partners, Flag Campaign USA and Colonial Flag to encourage individuals and families to proudly raise the flag at their homes and businesses every day and recite the Pledge every day.

Local Action = National Impact

America’s founding fathers laid the foundation for citizen participation when they included the Preamble atop the United States Constitution with the words, “We The People.”

They knew this beautiful experiment in democracy would only exist over generations if each citizen realized the importance of getting involved and taking action. Today, more than ever before, America is facing challenges that require all of us to be strong and stand together to fight for freedom and liberty.

Find the way in your community, county and state where you can serve and give back to this country that has given all of us so much. Run for a school committee seat, participate at the precinct level in your state, or call your Representative and Senator to let them know what matters to you. Your actions at the local level will have national impact. 

When “We The People” fight in the trenches of our communities for our families and neighbors, the nation will hear our voices. Get involved. Be a champion for America.
