America's Future Does Depend On You!

The reporters and the pundits of the mainstream press just don't get it, do they?

How can any informed and thinking person conclude that the Monica Lewinsky scandal is "just about sex"? Isn't it obvious that the real issue is whether or not the President committed perjury, suborned perjury on the part of other witnesses, and attempted to obstruct justice? Isn't it also obvious that the Lewinsky affair pales in comparison to the real scandal -- the Campaign Finance Scandal, which involves the transfer of vital defense technology to our most dangerous potential enemy, apparently in return for Chinese contributions to the President's reelection effort? Why is it that the American media show so little interest in the possible bribery, by a ruthless foreign power, of our nation's Commander-in-Chief? Is treason, on a scale never before known in the United States, somehow not newsworthy?

The media, clearly, are not doing their job. The future of America depends upon an informed electorate, however, and that's where America's Future and you, our faithful readers, come in. Our mission -- since our founding in 1946 -- has been to remind the American people of the glorious benefits of free enterprise and constitutional government: the economic and political systems that have made America the great nation it is. This mission requires us to warn the American people whenever these foundations of our freedom are threatened.

Unlike the mainstream media, we at America's Future have kept our focus on the real issues, and brought them faithfully to your attention. It is absolutely essential, however, that we also reach the millions of American men and women who are not as well-informed as you are. The uninformed go to the polls too, after all -- and, unless they learn to cherish our freedoms as much as you do, they might vote them away for all of us.

There are many ways you can help us expand our radio and newspaper ministry, and we invite you to write, call, or e-mail us for details (America's Future, 7800 Bonhomme Avenue, St. Louis MO 63105/314-725-6003/info@americasfuture.net). In the meantime, here are three suggestions:

1. Contact the manager of your favorite local radio station and ask him to broadcast our Behind The Headlines radio commentaries. These recorded commentaries (provided on cassette free of charge) are already broadcast on more than 120 radio stations across the country, and made available to hundreds more through the Radio America satellite network, but every station we add to our affiliates extends our influence to thousands of new listeners.

2. Request a free sample of our newsletter. This bimonthly compilation of our best Behind The Headlines commentaries is the single most useful publication in America for quickly sampling a broad range of conservative commentary, and for staying abreast of the real issues.

3. Visit our website (www.americasfuture.net) and encourage all your friends to do the same. You'll find up-to-date postings of our Behind The Headlines commentaries here -- plus plenty of "Politickles," our unique political limericks lampooning liberal lunacies, and lots of links to other informative sites.

Behind The Headlines is syndicated to newspapers and radio stations, free of charge, by America's Future, a nonprofit educational organization founded in 1946 and dedicated to the preservation of our free-enterprise system and our constitutional form of government. For more information, or a free sample of our bimonthly newsletter, e-mail or write to: America's Future, 7800 Bonhomme, St. Louis, Missouri 63105.
Or call: 1-314-725-6003.
